The Path Of Paganism by John Beckett

If I had to recommend a single book for beginning a pagan practice regardless of the pantheon or Gods you’re drawn to, it would have to be this one. Mr. Beckett does a fantastic job of giving a basic overview of how to DO Paganism without focusing exclusively on the Gods he himself serves.

There are many other books that are great introductions to specific deities or certain practices, but this one is the best overall “Paganism 101” guide I’ve encountered.

From the description on Amazon:

Paganism is a way of seeing the world and your place in it. It means challenging the assumptions of mainstream society and strengthening your relationships with the gods, the universe, your community, and your self. The Path of Paganism provides practical advice and support for honoring your values and living an authentic Pagan life in mainstream Western culture.

Discover tips for establishing or deepening a regular practice. Explore how your spirituality can help you deal with life’s inevitable hardships. Learn the basics of leadership roles and other steps to take as you gain experience and move into more advanced practices. With questions for contemplation as well as rituals to help you integrate new concepts, this book guides you through a profoundly meaningful way of life.

I highly recommend this book, even if you’re not new to Paganism. It will help you strengthen your practice, and firm up your foundations no matter where you are on your path. You can purchase it on Amazon using the link below: (affiliate link, won’t change your shopping experience at all!)
